5th edition of the Women Entrepreneurs of Tunisia ceremony

 

For the fourth consecutive year, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) reiterates its partnership with the Manager Magazine for the sponsorship of the 5th edition of the awards ceremony of the Women Entrepreneur of Tunisia trophies. This event was organized by Manager Magazine in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, on February 25, 2020 at the Laico Hotel, Tunis.
 
Event eagerly awaited by many women entrepreneurs and actors committed to the promotion of female entrepreneurship in Tunisia, the ceremony took place in the presence of several distinguished personalities like René Trabelsi, Minister of Tourism and Crafts; Hatem Ben Salem, Minister of Education and Slim Feriani, Minister of Industry and SMEs, Mr. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Tunisia, Ms. Néjia Gharbi, Deputy Director General of the Caisse des Deposits and Consignments, senior state officials, business leaders and representatives of international organizations.
 
The selection was made following several Road Shows on all the Tunisian territory thanks to an exceptional jury by the diversity of the routes like Alexander Rieper, Sahar Mechri Kharrat, Rym Akremi, Douja Gharbi, Samia Kaddour, of Afifa Ben Younes and chaired by Mr. Habib Karaouli, CEO of CAP Bank.
 
In the end, seven laureates operating in the sectors of Industry, Services, Crafts, Health, EdTech, Agribusiness and talent in the making were rewarded.
 

The trophy for the Service sector, sponsored by the CDC was awarded by Ms. Nejia Gharbi, Mr. Alexander Rieper and Ms. Lamia Zribi, to Ms. Ibtissem Ben Ahmed, founder of Cleanviews, who has become a leader in cleaning in Tunisia, trained as a lawyer. was able to develop a project with a strong environmental impact. She discovered that in Tunisia, the cleaning market offered great potential and that it was not exploited enough. Hence the idea of ​​his project which consists in founding a small company of sweeping and manual gardening. It also collects chemical, mechanical and hazardous waste to treat it. Cleanviews is currently working on a selective sorting project by collaborating not only with the municipalities but also with stratups to ensure recycling operations.
 

Finally, the great title of "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 was awarded to Ms. Fatma Samet, Laureate in the Crafts sector. This entrepreneur founded the Kerkenatis brand in order to enhance the know-how and the terroir capital of the island of Kerkennah. She has created workshops to update the art of weaving, embroidery and basketry. Visual artist and university professor, this creative and very passionate woman challenges obstacles and has given Kerkennois crafts all her acclaim.
 
This FET initiative is an annual occasion to pay tribute to the courageous, daring and risk-taking women who were able to overcome family, social and financial constraints to be able to realize their dreams. Thus, this note of hope will inspire many others to give them the guts necessary for the realization of their projects.
