The COVID-19 pandemic that is currently hitting the world is rapidly establishing new paradigms in international cooperation and trade and tourism between countries. The Pandemic has effectively stopped almost all means of air and sea transport, it has ended the majority of import-export activities and it has canceled all tourist and business trips, international conferences and major major events.
As part of the implementation of the dynamic national strategy to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by the Tunisian Government, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) launched an inter-ministerial mobilization in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MTCEN), the Ministry of Industry and SMEs (MIPME) and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) having The objective is to develop viable scientific and technological solutions which translate into a portfolio rich in products and services intended to respond primarily to the needs of the health sector in Tunisia. This through the creation of the Tunisian Research and Development Platform (http://rd-p.tn).

In this fact, the MESRS has already launched a call to Universities and Research and Innovation Structures across the country to mobilize in the creation of these technological solutions to support the health sector in different aspects of its needs in biomedical equipment, tools and materials for protection and prevention.
The interdepartmental group has planned the organization of a National Virtual Exhibition, a first of its kind on an international scale, aimed at promoting technological solutions "Made In Tunisia" and by "Tunisian Minds". Thus, promote Tunisian know-how in Science, Technology and Innovation applied to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
